Analyzing My Audience

In this post I will break down the ways that I can cater to my audience in my project .

Who am I writing for?: I am writing for new students in the Computer Science major.  They might share some common beliefs, and would certainly expect it to be relevant to the Computer Science field.

What position will they take?: They most likely will take the position that the governments standard of internet security needs to be raised, as it will inevitably be exploited so long as it is not.  This is not wrong in any way.  I wont have to change my content to accommodate this.

What might they want to know: They might want to know the specifics of the incident, as they are more likely to be familiar with them, as opposed to the general public.

How might they react to my argument?: I think they would agree with my argument, though I personally think it will matter entirely.

How am I trying to relate or connect with my audience?: I am trying to relate to them through the common interest in computer science.  This is the only thing that I am certain to share with my audience, so it is what I would use to connect with them.

Are there specific words, ideas, or modes of presentation that will help me relate to them in some way?: There are likely keywords that I could use which would be familiar to the audience, there is most likely not a mode of presentation that would resonate with them more than others.

Through reading other posts, I found that most answers were similar.  This is unsurprising because the relationship between all out projects and audience are essentially constant for this project.  I think that we all need to keep an open mind about audience expectations, and not try to create the project only for a very specific target audience.
