Evaluation of General Sources

Computer science is a major that is boring to many at its surface, but the subjects that it is responsible for often border on science fiction.  One controversy that has surfaced with the exponential increase in technological advancement is the rise of artificial intelligence.

URL: The base URL is phys.org, which is a straightforward title that comes across as professional, and the .org domain adds to the credibility slightly.
Author: I could not find any conclusive information behind the two listed authors.  Richard Ingham and Pascale Mollard are the listed authors.
Last Updated: The last time it was updated was the end of December of 2014, technically not in 2015, but it only continues to grow relevant.
Purpose: The text tries to summarize and call attention to fears that have recently grown to become closer and closer to reality.
Graphics: The very top picture of the article is a very prominent picture of a 'terminator'. This picture is a hyperbole, but it creates a connection for the masses to connect to the story.
Position: The article draws a more neutral position, summarizing more of the arguments that those on either side of the issue are taking.

URL:cogito.cty.jhu.edu is the URL. The most important aspect to this URL is the fact that it is an .edu domain, based from John Hopkins University.  This helps the credibility of this article.

Author: The author is Katy Bowman. Again I could not find very much information on this author, but the fact that this is posted on a .edu domain gives the author credibility to an extent. 

Last Updated: This was also last updated in 2014, although this does not affect the articles relevancy or credibility because it is focusing on possible future events.

Purpose:This article touches on the positive and negative outlooks for the future of artificial intelligence in many different aspects of our lives like jobs and survivability.

Graphics: The primary graphics feature futuristic looking robots, another way to connect the reader to the possibility of sci-fi and reality overlapping. 

Position: This article also covers multiple opinions and remains mostly neutral on the subject at hand, giving the possible negative and positive possibilities of the future of AI.
