Calendar Reflection

Considering all I have to focus on here in Tucson is school, I am luckily afforded a very lenient schedule. In this post I will reflect on my options and requirements for a successful semester and how I will use my schedule to its fullest.

My most important step to getting all my work done is starting it and ensuring that I keep all of it organized as well as I reasonably can.  I know that I can find the appropriate amount of time to get all my work done if I stay up to date with all my work and don't allow myself to fall behind.

This is easier said than done and I have to do all my work in increments, as opposed to waiting until the last possible moment.  By using scheduling programs that will keep me up to date I will try to stay on top of my assignments as best as possible while maintaining a good life outside of school work.  This balance is something that I will have to strive for in order to get the most of my college education.

I am more appreciative of my schedule after hearing some of the things that my classmates have to work with.  I am more confident that I can take on my workload with time to spare. Also many people are in situations very similar to mine.

  1. For the most part I can definitely relate to your calendar reflection. School is also my main focus here, but I still want to balance all of the studying with the fun stuff outside of school. For me personally I use a simple planner because I do best when I write things down and always have it in front of me. You seem to have a good sense of how you study best and I am sure you will do just fine! (also your blog name made me laugh)

  2. I, sadly, can't really relate to your reflection as much because I've got a couple of jobs, and a couple of really fun and distracting friends to boot. What I can definitely relate to is that it is very strange to need to schedule specific times for studying specific things, and that college has a very different pace. I also found that I had to schedule a large amount of time for coursework just to keep up! Like Rachel, I use a paper planner to see my chunks of time, and I admire you for being able to use scheduling programs.

  3. I also struggle with organization and staying up to date with assignments, so I completely understand your frustrations. Coming from someone who has a lot to balance, I think if you are just focusing on school, you will have no problem. My biggest piece of advice would just be what everyone else has already said, to write out your assignments due for the week!
